This episode on Out Loud Queer Creatives Podcast, we’re joined by Jay Whitehead (writer/actor), Garry Williams (director), and Diego Guerrero (actor) from the new Canadian stage play 333.
Inspired by the 1981 Bath House raids in Toronto, 333 shines a light on a powerful and important chapter in Canadian queer history. In this conversation, the team shares how the play came to life, the process of getting the production mounted, and the challenges they faced in bringing such a significant story to the stage. They also reflect on the responsibility and impact of telling queer history through theatre, and why these stories remain so vital today.
We also discuss the play’s upcoming tour through the Atlantic provinces of Nova Scotia, PEI, and New Brunswick in June and July, and what audiences can expect from this moving and timely production. Get TICKETS HERE
It’s an insightful and important conversation about art, history, and the power of queer storytelling. Tune in and get Out Loud with the creative team behind 333.
