about Music-Programme 35 – Serenade by Starlight (Woodwinds + Strings)
Welcome to “about Music” with Brian.
I have four Serenades for us in this programme. Our theme is Serenade by Starlight, and it is an easy listening programme that contains some well-known favourites.

Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus- Serenade in G Major K. 525 “Eine kleine Nachtmusik” Sparkling and timeless — Mozart’s most beloved serenade, written for warm summer evenings.
Weber, Carl Maria von- Clarinet Quintet in B-flat Major Op. 34 Romantic lyricism and brilliant display intertwine in this lyrical showpiece for clarinet and strings.
Danzi, Franz- Wind Quintet in G Minor Op. 56 No. 2 Danzi’s quintets bridge Classical balance and early Romantic warmth, full of good-natured energy.
Schubert, Franz- Entr’acte from Rosamunde D. 797 Poetic and reflective — a gentle close to the evening’s serenade with Schubert’s characteristic warmth.
